Please note: The version available here is designed for Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC, PocketPC 2002, and PocketPC devices.

If you have a newer device running Windows Mobile 5, you should use our ChaosSync for Outlook program instead, which can allow you to ultimately sync with Time & Chaos, but using Outlook's databases as a pass-through to your device.

ChaosSync for Pocket PC

If you own a Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC device, ChaosSync for Pocket PC will allow you to synchronize the Telephone Book, Appointments and To Do items in Time & Chaos with the Contacts, Calendars and Tasks on the Pocket PC.

Time & Chaos is not installed on your device. Instead, it simply synchronizes with the databases already provided. Your Pocket PC will continue to function just as it did when you first turned it on. All that will change after using ChaosSync will be that your Time & Chaos data is now available on the Pocket PC and changes you make will be transferred each direction.

Requirements

ChaosSync for PocketPC is designed for Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC, PocketPC 2002, and PocketPC devices. (Windows Mobile 5 users should use our ChaosSync for Outlook instead)

Models tested by us or other users include: Dell Axim, HP/Compaq iPaq and Jornada Pocket PCs, Toshiba Pocket PCs, and Casio Cassiopeia E-200. This is not a complete list of all devices, just ones we know of that users are already working with! As long as your device uses PocketPC with the standard Contact, Calendar, and Tasks applications, it should be able to synchronize.

The new version 6 of this tool now supports SmartPhone devices, too.

We strongly recommend that if you are currently using them, you turn OFF the calendar, contacts, and tasks options in ActiveSync as these options are for synchronizing your device with Outlook.

ActiveSync 3.1 (or newer) is required to be installed and working to make a connection with your PC that ChaosSync can use to communicate with your device.

If you do not yet have Time & Chaos 6, there is an older version of our ChaosSync for PocketPC available for download in the discontinued software section of our Products page (down at the bottom under Legacy Software). Please note that this older version requires Time & Chaos 5.6.5 (also discontinued) and will also not be able to support some devices such as SmartPhones like our current versions can.

Read This Before Using!

Since there are many differences in database formats between Time & Chaos and Pocket PC, you may wish to read the PocketPC readme.txt file before purchase, just so there are no "surprises" when you sync Time & Chaos with your Pocket PC.
